Over 4 bcm of gas pumped into Ukrainian underground storages this year

As of early June, Ukraine accumulated 18 billion cubic meters of natural gas in its underground gas storage facilities, which is 57% higher than last year.

“Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has pumped 4.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas into its underground gas storage facilities (+5% compared to the same period of last year). Of these, 2.2 billion cubic meters were pumped in “customs warehouse” mode, including 0.9 billion cubic meters by resident companies and 1.3 billion cubic meters by non-resident companies," the press service of JSC Ukrtransgaz reports.

As of June 1, resident companies stored 1.3 billion cubic meters of gas in the “customs warehouse” mode (+21% compared to the same period of last year).

The volume of gas storage by foreign traders continues to increase. At the beginning of June, non-resident companies kept 2 billion cubic meters of gas in the “customs warehouse” mode (+296% compared to the same period of last year).
