Average salary in Ukraine grows by 1.6% - State Statistics Service

In April 2020, the average nominal salary in Ukraine amounted to UAH 10,430, which is 1.6% higher compared with April 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.

"The average nominal salary of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations made up UAH 10,430 in April 2020, which is 2.2 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 4,723). The average nominal salary decreased by 8.9% compared with March and rose by 1.6% over the last 12 months (compared to April 2019),” reads the report.

The highest nominal salaries in April were recorded in the financial and insurance sector – UAH 20,256 (up 2.1% year-on-year), in the information and telecommunications sector – UAH 18,317 (down 10.7%), in the state governance and defense, compulsory social insurance – UAH 15,041 (up 13.0%),

The lowest nominal salaries in April were recorded in the sectors of temporary accommodation and catering - UAH 3,500 (down 46.4% from April 2020), in the healthcare and social assistance sectors - UAH 7,035 (up 4.3%), and in the sector of immovable property management - UAH 7,121 (down 13.1%).

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the average nominal salary in April 2019 amounted to UAH 10,269, which was 21.2% higher than in April 2018.
