Wheat stocks in Ukraine fall by 16.2% – experts

As of May 1, 2020, wheat grain resources in Ukraine decreased by 16.2% compared to the same date of the previous year, according to UkrAgroConsult consulting agency.
“According to the data from the Ukrainian State Statistics Service, as of May 1, 2020, wheat stocks decreased by 16.2% compared to the same period of last year, while its volumes at enterprises involved in storage and processing decreased by 33.4%, and among farmers - by 1.4%,” the report says.
At the same time, barley stocks exceed last year's ones by 10.0%, including among agricultural producers - by 23.1%. However, at enterprises engaged in storage and processing, barley stocks decreased by 8.0%.
Also, corn stocks decreased (by 28.5%), including among agricultural producers - by 21.1%, and at enterprises engaged in storage and processing of grain - by 36.1%.
