Uber Eats to close down in Ukraine on June 3

Ukrinform
Uber will end the operations of its food delivery service Uber Eats in Ukraine from June 3, 2020, the company's press service has said in a letter seen by Ukrinform.

"We are sad that Uber Eats will no longer be available in Ukraine, however, our ridesharing service will continue to operate, as before," the letter reads.

Uber said the reason for the closure of the service was the unprofitability of the business.

The company also said it was currently working "to minimize the consequences of closing down the service for our employees, restaurants, couriers, partners, and users."

The international food delivery service Uber Eats started its operations in Ukraine on February 6, 2019.
