State Forest Resources Agency regenerated over 22,000 ha of forests this year

Almost 122 million trees have been planted in Ukraine since the start of spring forest-cultivation campaign, according to the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine.
“In total, 22,300 hectares of forests were regenerated: more than 11,400 hectares (almost 71 million trees) were regenerated and 127 hectares of new forests were created in Polissia; nearly 7,400 hectares (38.3 million trees) were regenerated and 463 hectares of new forests were created in the forest-steppe zone; nearly 1,600 hectares (almost 8 million trees) were regenerated and 815 hectares of new forests were created the steppe zone; nearly 1,900 hectares (4.5 million trees) were regenerated in the Ukrainian Carpathians,” said Head of the State Forest Resources Agency Andriy Zablotskyi.
He has added that the 2020 spring forest-cultivation campaign in Ukraine is nearing completion.
