PM Shmyhal: Great Construction program will create new jobs in Ukraine

As part of the Great Construction program, at least 170,000 new jobs will be created in Ukraine, according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"I have received information from the heads of regional state administrations on the course of implementation of the Great Construction program initiated by the President. The government plans to invest UAH 100 billion in road construction this year alone. This will create at least 170,000 new jobs, including in related industries," the prime minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
He also stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers intends to extend the program to bridge construction as well.
According to Shmyhal, the Great Construction program will help accomplish three important tasks: create new jobs, improve the quality of roads in Ukraine, and boost economy as investments in infrastructure have a significant multiplier effect.
