Almost 16 bcm of gas accumulated in Ukrainian underground storage facilities

As of March 31, 2020, gas volumes in Ukrainian underground storage facilities made up 15.9 billion cubic meters, which is one of the highest figures as of the end of March recorded over the last 10 years.

PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system, reported this on April 6.

"As of March 31, Ukrainian gas storage facilities accumulated 15.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas. This is one of the highest stock as of the end of March in Ukrainian underground storage facilities in last 10 years. Thus, a year ago, as of March 31, 2019, there were 8.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas in underground storage facilities of Ukraine, which is 80% less," Ukrtransgaz said.
