Government intends to allocate UAH 1.6 bln more for coal industry

The Cabinet of Ministers intends to envisage additional UAH 1.6 bln in a draft law on amendments to the 2020 state budget regarding the financing of the coal industry.

MP Oleksiy Honcharuk posted a relevant draft document on his Telegram channel.

According to the document, the government intends to invest UAH 3.563 billion to restructure the coal industry, while earlier UAH 1.963 billion had been allocated for this.

Thus, the government intends to additionally allocate UAH 1.6 billion for the coal industry.

At the same time, the announced project discontinues the financing of the state investment project on the development of Novokostiantynivska Mine, for which UAH 140 million was planned to be allocated.

Honcharuk added that the government plans to reduce the funding for measures to eliminate unpromising coal mines to UAH 659.7 million, from UAH 1.28 billion.
