
Umansky, IMF Resident Representative discuss further cooperation
"Ihor Umansky held his first official meeting at the position of the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Today, he has met with IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Goesta Ljungman. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of affairs and further steps of bilateral cooperation. The importance of further Ukraine-IMF cooperation was underscored within the framework of a constructive dialogue," the Finance Ministry press service posted on Facebook.

The continued active cooperation with the IMF is an absolute priority for Ukraine, Umansky noted.
“The IMF Extended Fund Facility program is important to maintain the financial stability and implementation of structural reforms in Ukraine, which is a priority for the Government. We continue to work actively with the IMF to launch the program,” the minister said.

Umansky suggested organizing a meeting of the Government officials with the IMF leadership in Washington, D.C. in the near future in order to discuss further cooperation.
