Ivano-Frankivsk region gets over UAH 1.3 mln in revenues from tourist tax

In January-February 2020, local budgets of Ivano-Frankivsk region received over UAH 1.3 million in revenues from tourist tax, according to the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
“Revenues from tourist tax in Ivano-Frankivsk region in January-February 2020 made up UAH 1,369,620, which is 40.95% more than in January-February 2019,” Vitaliy Perederko, the head of the tourism department at the regional administration said.
According to him, the city councils of Yaremche and Ivano-Frankivsk traditionally remain the leaders in the tourism industry of the region, which received UAH 919,310 and UAH 270,660, respectively.
At the same time, Perederko added that it was too early to state that the winter tourist season in the region was successful.
