Govnt, NBU discuss easing of mortgage and business loans

At a meeting on Monday, March 2, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk, NBU Governor Yakiv Smolii, representatives of the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture discussed macroeconomic stabilization and easing of mortgage and business loans.
"A further reduction in the discount rate from 11% to 7% in 2020 means cheap loans. Thus, the mortgage will be much cheaper, and the business will have a microloan of up to UAH 2 million at 5-7-9%. In addition, we expand these loans for the purchase of commercial real estate," Honcharuk said.
