Foreign investments in Zhytomyr region economy grow 1.7 times

In 2019, USD 10.5 million of foreign investment was attracted to the economy of Zhytomyr region, which is 1.7 times more than in 2018, according to the Department of Agricultural Development and Economic Policy of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration.
“In January-September 2019, foreign investors invested USD 10.5 million in direct investment in the economy of Zhytomyr region, which is 1.7 times more than in January-September 2018,” the report reads.
In 2019, enterprises and organizations of the region through all sources of financing disbursed UAH 7.9 billion in capital investment, which is 6.7% more than in 2018.
Zhytomyr region attracts investments from 51 countries of the world. In particular, 87.9% of the total investments come from the EU countries.
