Ukrzaliznytsia received over UAH 2.5 bln in profit last year – Kravtsov

According to preliminary estimates, in 2019, the profit of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) amounted to UAH 2.5-3 billion.
Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov said this in an interview with BBC News Ukraine.
“According to preliminary estimates, over the past year, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia generated UAH 2.5-3 billion in profit. Only NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine earns more than us,” Kravtsov said.
He noted that the company is operating stably, but Ukrzaliznytsia needs large investments in order to improve the quality of services.
As Ukrinform reported, in 2018, the net profit of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia amounted to UAH 203.9 million, which is 80% more than in 2017.
