Chinese investors interested in development of Rivne airport

“Chinese investors are interested in Rivne International Airport. The relevant memorandum was signed by Head of the Rivne Regional State Administration Vitalii Koval, Chairman of the Regional Council Oleksandr Danylchuk and POWERCHINA (Sinohydro) Deputy Manager for Eurasia Market Development Chen Shijun on Tuesday, January 14,” reads the report.

POWERCHINA, which employs 260,000 people, is one of China's top five largest companies. It has specialized in infrastructure for the last ten years.

As Ukrinform reported, Rivne International Airport was added to the pilot investment project of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture on the restoration of regional airports. Within the project, private capital is expected to be attracted in the development of Rivne airport that may become a basis for the creation of a technological hub of Western Ukraine.
