Kyiv International Airport sees almost 7% fall in passenger numbers in 2019

Passenger flow at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) decreased by 6.9% in 2019 compared to the previous year.

The press service of the airport wrote this on its Facebook page on January 13.

It notes that the total number of passengers serviced by the airport last year made up 2.618 million, including 2.559 million passengers on international flights.

“The number of flights in January-December 2019 included 27,697 both arrivals and departures, which is 8.4% less compared with the same period in 2018, of which there were 23,367 international flights and 4,030 domestic flights,” reads the report.

The most popular international directions in January-December 2019 were Minsk (Belarus), Warsaw (Poland), Sharm el-Sheik (Egypt), Rome (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Berlin (Germany), Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Among domestic flights, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Lviv were in lead.
