Comprehensive check of tax system to be launched in January – Finance Ministry

Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said that a working group of experts from relevant ministries will start checking the Ukrainian tax system in January 2020.
“Starting from January, very structural diagnostics of our tax system we will be conducted by a small but professional working group from the Ministry for Development of Economy, the Finance Ministry, experts from relevant ministries, as well as invited business environment. After the diagnostics, we will come up with proposals for tax reform, which we will discuss further with the business," said the minister during the Svoboda Slova talk show on the ICTV channel late on Monday.
Markarova has added that if business approves the reform, it then should be approved before July 2020 so that to be introduced as early as in 2021.
