Ukraine completes sugarbeet harvest

Ukrainian farmers have completed sugarbeet harvest as 9.8 million tonnes were cropped.
"As of December 10, 9.8 million tonnes of sugarbeet were harvested from an area of 220,000 hectares, or 100% of the crop forecast, at an average yield of 446 centner/ha," the press service of the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine reports.
It is noted that 13.5 million tonnes of sugarbeet were harvested last year at an average yield of 494 centner/ha.
As of December 10, 2019, 8.99 million tonnes of sugarbeet were processed and 1.355 million tonnes of sugar were produced.
