Over UAH 106 bln of pension debts repaid to IDPs – Social Policy Ministry

Over UAH 106 billion of debts were paid off in different years to internally displaced persons (IDPs), who could not receive pension payments for various reasons.
Deputy Social Policy Minister for European Integration Serhiy Nizhynskyi stated this in Kyiv at the First National Forum on Migration and Combating Human Trafficking on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Due to the situation that occurred in the country in 2014 and until now, over UAH 106 billion of debts were paid off to internally displaced persons who for various reasons were not able to receive pension payments. In fact, the repayment was conducted by 90%,” said Nizhynskyi.
He has added that the latest data show that over 1,420,000 internally displaced persons have been recorded in Ukraine.
