Swedish investors interested in recycling waste in Ukraine

Ukraine is interested in engaging Swedish investors in the implementation of projects in energy, agriculture, IT, infrastructure, and waste recycling, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

He stated this at a press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven in Kyiv on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I have called on the Swedish side to increase its business presence in Ukraine. We are very interested in large-scale projects in alternative and renewable energy, energy security, agriculture, IT sector, infrastructure. We have also agreed to involve Swedish investors in waste recycling in key cities of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

In addition, the president stressed that Ukraine seeks to cooperate with defense companies in line with NATO technologies and standards.

Zelensky noted that Sweden is one of the largest trading partners of Ukraine in Northern Europe and a very important investment partner and added that trade between the two countries is growing.
