PM Honcharuk arrives at EaP Investment Summit in London
“The distinguished guests of the EaP Investment Summit, Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Chicu and Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk, are greeted by EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti,” the EBRD press center reports on Twitter.
Honcharuk, in particular, will take part in the panel session “Fuelling growth: opportunities for investors”. The session is an opportunity for leaders to showcase not only the existing and potential areas for foreign investment in their own countries, but also to discuss how best to forge convergence, through both public and private investments, in the Eastern Partnership region.
The first ever EBRD Eastern Partnership (EaP) Investment Summit takes place at the Bank’s Headquarters in London on November 22, 2019.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership Initiative. Over the past decade, the Bank has developed much closer ties with each of these six countries in eastern Europe and the south Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The EBRD is the largest institutional investor in the Eastern Partnership region and is committed to supporting the development of the private sector and improving the investment climate. Since the start of the Bank’s operations, the EBRD has invested in excess of €26 billion in more than 1,200 projects in all six countries of the region.
