Kharkiv International Airport in the third quarter of 2019 took the fourth place in the ACI Europe rating in the category of airports that handle less than 5 million passengers.

The press service of the airport told this to Ukrinform referring to the data released by the European department of the Airports Council International (ACI Europe).

ACI Europe compiles global ratings every month, analyzing data from more than 230 airports in Europe and general trends in the world. According to the dynamics of passenger growth, Kharkiv International Airport, a part of DCH Group owned by businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, took the fourth place in the category among five European airports with a result of 42.1% in Q3 2019,” reads the report.

“Kharkiv Airport has a chance to continue occupying high places in continental ratings, having stable long-term growth of key indicators during a long period. In October 2019, the passenger flow at Kharkiv Airport grew by a record 70%,” said the operator New Systems AM, also a part of DCH Group.

Kharkiv International Airport is one of the leaders among Ukrainian airports in terms of the number of passengers serviced on domestic and international flights and aircraft movements. The airport became the first in Ukraine to receive an EU certificate indicating compliance with the European Commission’s rules governing flight safety and service quality.
