NBU governor and IMF mission discuss financial sector reform

The mission of the International Monetary Fund met with representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine to discuss further financial sector reform, NBU Governor Yakiv Smolii has said.

"Despite the blocked entrances to the NBU building, the IMF mission came to meet us on the very first day in Kyiv. Ahead is a week of talks. With the NBU the Fund discusses further financial sector reform, as well as the importance of judicial reform in ensuring financial stability," Smolii wrote on his Twitter page on November 14.

As Ukrinform reported, the IMF mission led by Ron van Rooden started working in Kyiv on November 14 to discuss further cooperation with Ukrainian authorities.
