Ukraine's economy to grow by 3.7% next year despite problems with gas transit – Markarova

Next year, Ukraine’s economy will grow by 3.7% despite problems with a new gas transit agreement with Russia.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova said this while presenting the draft state budget for 2020 in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As for the economic growth of 3.7%, this is an ambitious indicator. But our goal is a 5-7% growth. We are confident that our team is professionally holding talks on transit [with Russia], but there are other growth drivers here, including concessions, privatization, and attraction of Ukrainian and foreign investors," Markarova said.
