Ukraine’s Business Ombudsman Council has signed the memorandum of partnership and cooperation with the State Tax and State Customs Services.

During the ceremony of signing, Business Ombudsman in Ukraine Marcin Swiecicki stated that the document would enhance cooperation between the agencies and promote the development of Ukrainian companies, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The signing of the memorandum with new Tax and Customs Services means further cooperation between our institutions. Our common goal is to create a decent business environment in Ukraine, promote Ukrainian businesses development and encourage foreign investment,” said the Ombudsman.

He noted that 43 recommendations on tax and customs sectors were submitted to the authorities, but only one third of them had been implemented.

"We hope new tax and customs authorities use our systemic recommendations on tax administration, foreign economic activity regulation and business problems solving in the customs sector in the course of services reform," Marcin Swiecicki said.
