Ukraine’s retail trade turnover grows by 20% – State Statistics Service

In January-September 2019, retail trade turnover in Ukraine reached UAH 568.6 billion, an increase of 20.0% compared to the corresponding period in 2018, the State Statistics Service reported.

The biggest growth in retail trade turnover over the reporting period was recorded in the city of Kyiv (UAH 132.16 bln), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 56.5 bln), Odesa region (UAH 46.16) and Kyiv region (UAH 45.66 bln).

The lowest retail trade turnover in January-September 2019 was recorded in Luhansk region (UAH 3.57 bln), Chernivtsi region (UAH 6.1 bln) and Ternopil region (UAH 6.3 bln).

In January-September 2018, Ukraine’s retail trade turnover grew by 13.9% from 2017 and reached UAH 473.75 billion.

Data provided by the State Statistics Service on retail trade turnover in Ukraine excluded the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and some parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
