Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Mylovanov has stated that out of 3,643 state-owned facilities, only 300 should remain in state ownership.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: “In Ukraine, there are 3,643 objects with large shares belonging to the state. Of them, 2,300 more or less operate, while the rest should be declared bankrupt. Moreover, more than 1,000 of them were on the list of companies prohibited for privatization”.

According to the minister, those facilities should remain in state ownership that ensure state security, are natural monopolies and vitally important to society, as well as "enterprises which services/ goods cannot be performed by the market”. Such enterprises, in his opinion, should total 200-300.
