Actual salary in agrarian sector three times higher than statistical - experts

The statistical average monthly salary in the Ukrainian agricultural sector reached UAH 5,984, which is three times less compared with the data provided by employers, the agrarian web portal kurkul.com reported.

In particular, according to the website AgroRobota.com.ua, the average monthly salary in the agrarian sector in August 2019 made up UAH 15,700.

According to the data provided by the State Statistics Service, the average monthly salary in the agrarian sector in January-August 2019 amounted to UAH 8,430 (per a full time employee), which is 23% more compared to the same period last year, when salary totaled UAH 8,430. Compared with July 2019 (UAH 9,850), the average salary in the agrarian sector dropped by 24% to UAH 8,703.

However, according to the State Employment Service, salaries of farmers are even less - an average of UAH 5,984 per month.

The largest salaries in the agrarian sector are offered to agronomists – a total of UAH 10, 728, according to the data provided by the State Employment Service.
