Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Ministry wants to increase share of IT sector in GDP

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine will work on increasing the share of IT sector in the country's gross domestic product (GDP) by up to 10%.

"Our goal is to increase the share of IT sector in the country's GDP up to 10%. Now, according to various data, it accounts for 3.7% - 5%," Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said during the presentation of the Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

In addition, according to the official, the Ministry of Digital Transformation will be engaged in converting the administrative services into online format.

"The first goal is to digitize 100% of the services in the next five years. If a service is not provided online, it will not be provided offline," he said.
