Deposit Guarantee Fund intends to increase guaranteed amount of payments by 2027

"The Fund is developing a draft law that will provide for a gradual rise in the guaranteed compensation up to EUR 100,000 in hryvnia equivalent by 2027. In general, the Fund intends to make the first increase in the guaranteed compensation until the end of the current year," reads the statement.

The Deposit Guarantee Fund noted that in order to increase the amount of guaranteed compensation, it is necessary to ensure the financial stability of the Fund itself by restructuring the debt to the Finance Ministry. In addition, an early response system should be introduced to enable the National Bank of Ukraine and the Fund to identify, at an early stage, problems that may lead to the bank's insolvency and to take appropriate measures to address them.
