Ukraine increases flour exports by 60%

Ukraine has exported 29,500 tonnes of flour since the beginning of the 2019/2020 marketing year (July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020) as of August 8, 2019, which was 11,300 tonnes more than on the same date last year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has reported.

In particular, during the reporting period, Ukraine exported 29,300 tonnes of wheat flour (11,200 tonnes more than in the 2018/2019 MY) and 200 tonnes of flour made from other types of grain (an increase of 100 tonnes).

As of August 8, 2019, Ukrainian farmers harvested 38.5 million tonnes of early grain and leguminous crops from an area of 9.5 million hectares (95% of the target).
