NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” has contracts on gas storage in the underground gas storages facilities with 31 foreign companies. In total, 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas is stored in the Ukrainian storage facilities in the customs warehouse regime.

“The trust of international companies is worth much and requires complete transparency, years of hard work. Now we have contracts on gas storage in Ukrainian underground gas storages facilities with 31 foreign companies which pumped into our storage facilities 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas and keep it in the customs warehouse regime. This figure significantly exceeds our preliminary expectations," CEO of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev posted on Facebook.

Currently, more than 4 billion cubic meters of gas, which belongs to the companies outside the Naftogaz group, is stored in Ukrainian underground gas storages facilities. The Naftogaz CEO assures that all market players received equal and non-discriminatory access to gas storage facilities and the opportunity to work in the customs warehouse regime.

“We carefully study all the problems that arise with our partners and do everything possible to expand the capacities of storage facilities. I am sure that when the short-haul service is launched, the use of Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities will become even more attractive for international companies.
