Ukraine 60% ready for heating season – Zubko

Ukraine's readiness for the heating season makes up 60%, according to Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko.
"The level of readiness of Ukrainian public housing for the heating season is 60%," Zubko said at a conference call with the regions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He emphasized that social facilities (schools, kindergartens, and hospitals) would be fully prepared by September 1. The vice prime minister also added that before the start of the heating season, local authorities should focus on the installation of utility meters.
