Ukraine’s gas reserves in underground storage facilities exceed 15 bcm

As of July 22, Ukraine pumped 15.09 billion cubic meters of natural gas into its underground gas storage facilities, the press service of JSC Ukrtransgaz has reported.

“As of today’s morning [July 22], Ukraine already accumulated 15.09 billion cubic meters of natural gas in its underground gas storage facilities, which is 22% or 2.7 billion cubic meters more compared to last year,” reads the report.

The average daily pumping made up 68 million cubic meters since the beginning of the summer.

As reported, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine plans to accumulate about 20 billion cubic meters of gas to ensure the stable heating season of 2019-2020.
