Over 300 solar power plants installed in Zhytomyr region

In Zhytomyr region, 310 private solar power plants are operating, some of them have been installed by local residents as part of a regional program, the press service of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration reports.
“Residents of Zhytomyr region are increasingly switching to solar energy. At present, 310 solar power stations are operating in the region,” the report says.
In order to encourage private households to switch to alternative energy sources, the Government approved a support program, which makes it possible to receive reimbursement for installed equipment. Some 100 residents of Zhytomyr region have already taken advantage of this program.
In particular, it provides the opportunity to receive compensation from the regional budget, namely, 20% of the cost of equipment, within UAH 50,000.
