Ukrainian agricultural exports increased by 21% in 2019
"For the first five months of 2019, the exports totaled USD 8.97 billion, up 21.4% or USD 1.58 billion compared to the same period in 2018. This is 42.9% of Ukraine's total exports," Trofimtseva posted on Facebook.
Ukrainian agricultural products were exported to China (USD 794.9 million); India (USD 740.9 million); Egypt (USD 737.4 million); Turkey (USD 683.7 million); The Netherlands (USD 640.8 million); Spain (USD 502.8 million); Italy (USD 333.3 million); Poland (USD 300.6 million); Belarus (USD 278.8 million); and Germany (USD 250.3 million).
The following products were exported: corn (USD 3 billion); vegetable oil (USD 1.88 billion); wheat (USD 974 million); oil cake and other solid wastes obtained from the extraction of sunflower oil (USD 479.2 million); soybeans (USD 431.9 million); poultry meat and offal (USD 255.9 million); oil cake and other solid waste of soybean oil (USD 141.2 million); soybean oil (USD 111 million); tobacco products (USD 107.7 million); barley (USD 77.9 million).
During this period, Ukrainian agricultural imports increased by 8.5% and amounted to USD 2.5 billion, or 10.6% of Ukraine's total imports.
