Ukraine decreases state debt by USD 1.43 bln in May – Finance Ministry

“As of May 31, 2019, the state and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 2,106.49 billion or USD 78.39 billion, including: the state and government-guaranteed external debt totaling UAH 1,308.92 billion (62.14% of the total sum of the state and government-guaranteed debt) or USD 48.71 billion and the state and government-guaranteed domestic debt totaling UAH 797.57 billion (37.86%) or USD 29.68 billion," reads the report.

The Finance Ministry noted that in May 2019, the state and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine decreased by UAH 18.36 billion in the hryvnia equivalent and by USD 1.43 billion in the dollar equivalent.

As reported, the state and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine as of April, 2019 amounted to USD 79.82 billion, or UAH 2,124.80 billion.
