Ukraine, UAE agree on joint aviation projects

Director General of Ukraine’s Ukroboronprom State Concern Pavlo Bukin stated this while commenting on a meeting with Deputy Minister of Defense of the UAE Major-General Abdullah Al Hashmi in the framework of the 53rd International Paris Air Show at the Exhibition Center of Le Bourget.

“The quality of the State Enterprise Antonov’s aircraft is generally recognized. They are in steady demand in the market. This is confirmed by a series of negotiations at the Paris Air Show 2019. At present, the most promising market for us is the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Ukrainian aircraft, which are able to operate in extreme climatic conditions, fully meet the needs of the military and rescuers. Therefore, we expect that Antonov’s aircraft will take a significant part of the market in these regions in the near future," Bukin said.

According to him, the parties discussed the wide range of cooperation, in particular the logistical support for the UAE Land Forces.

The sides also discussed the establishment of joint production of Antonov State Enterprise’s UAVs with the UAE.
