The core inflation in May 2019 was 0.2% compared to the previous month, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
"The core inflation in May 2019 compared to April 2019 was 0.2%, and since the beginning of the year – 2.3%," reads the statement.
The consumer price inflation in May 2019 compared to April 2019 was 0.7%, from the beginning of the year - 4.2%, compared to May 2018 – 9.6%.
Among consumer goods and services, in May 2019 compared to December 2018, vegetables rose in price by 44.7%, fruits – by 22.2%, and railway services – by 17.7%.
In May 2019 compared to December 2018, eggs dropped in price by 31.4%, natural gas – by 4.2%), and fuel and lubricants – by 1.6%.
