Zelensky cancels decree on Artemenko's dismissal

Ukrinform
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has canceled the decrees dismissing Yuriy Artemenko as a member of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting and appointing Volodymyr Horkovenko as a member of the council.

The respective documents have been published on the official website of the head of state.

Earlier, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting suspended the approval of decisions until the receipt of conclusions from the parliament's concerned committee or the president of Ukraine regarding the correctness of personnel decisions, in particular, Horkovenko's appointment as a member of the council.

On May 4 this year, President Petro Poroshenko appointed Head of the Main Department of Information Policy at the Presidential Administration Volodymyr Horkovenko a member of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting in place of Yuriy Artemenko, who was dismissed from the post.

At the same time, First Deputy Chairwoman of the National Council on Television and Radio Olha Herasymiuk said that she considered Artemenko's dismissal to be improperly done so she does not open the meetings of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting.
