"The IMF mission arrives in Ukraine on May 21 and will work within two weeks," First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy and Banking Mykhailo Dovbenko said at the agenda-setting council in the Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In this regard, the MP pointed to the need to adopt a bill No. 2413-a, which provides for the elimination of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets and division of its functions between the National Bank of Ukraine and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

As reported, on December 18, 2019, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund approved a 14-month Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) for Ukraine worth a total of $3.9 billion in three tranches. December 21, 2018, Ukraine received the first tranche. The second and the third tranches, $1.3 billion each, are planned to be disbursed in May and November 2019.
