More than three million dollars of ‘Yanukovych’s money’ returned to Ukraine

The State Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine recovered to the benefit of the state UAH 55 million and USD 1 million from the Cypriot companies associated with Yanukovych and the former high-ranking officials.

“The funds were recovered to the benefit of Ukraine under the execution of a court sentence on application of special confiscation with the forcible withdrawal of the funds owned by EROSARIA LTD and Aldoza Investments Limited, placed on the accounts in JSB Ukrgasbank,” Deputy Justice Minister of Ukraine Svitlana Hlushchenko said, the press service of the Ministry reports.

The Ministry notes that funds recovered from Cypriot companies EROSARIA LTD and Aldoza Investments Limited are associated with fugitive president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and former high-ranking officials.

She noted that the funds in the amount of UAH 55 342 762.37 and USD 1 010 072.39 were received on deposit account of the State Executive Service of Ukraine on May 7.
