USAID economic support project begins in Donetsk region

A project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on the economic support for Eastern Ukraine has been launched in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, according to the Bakhmut City Council.

"A project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine, begins in Bakhmut. The USAID project, which was presented at a meeting of the Bakhmut City Council on April 23, 2019, is aimed at the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises, recovery and development,” reads the report.

The city council reminded that the USAID project provides for technical assistance and co-investment support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), financial services providers, educational institutions, cities and united territorial communities.

The Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine project focuses on three main tasks: stabilizing the economy, supporting sustainable development of MSMEs and building confidence in the economy of Eastern Ukraine.
