Over 11,000 projects implemented in territorial communities for past 5 years - Zubko
Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko said this in the air of TV Channel 5, the minister’s press service reports.
According to the official, the Ukrainian people, who believed in the reform and united, today feel the achievements of decentralization through the implementation of many infrastructure projects. There are already more than 11,000 projects. Thanks to the state support and local budgets, there are new schools, kindergartens, ambulance stations, stadiums, administrative services centers, security Ccenters in the territorial communities.
Zubko stresses that territorial communities have the opportunity to plan and implement priority projects if there is government support and a steady increase in own income.
As known, on April 1, 2014, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the concept of reforming local self-government and the territorial organization of power in Ukraine, which provides for the implementation of the decentralization reform.
