Business wants to see economic stability and investment protection in Ukraine

President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Andy Hunder said this at a meeting with business representatives, which is held with the participation of President Petro Poroshenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Business wants to see economic stability. Reforms should continue. There must be macroeconomic stability, the rule of law, the eradication of corruption, the protection of investments and property. These issues are important for doing business in the country," he said.

Hunder notes that foreign direct investment (FDI) is the engine of the economy and the basis for sustainable economic growth.

"According to our data, 73% of the companies of the American Chamber of Commerce predict growth of their business this year," he added.

As reported, in 2018, the net inflow of foreign direct investment in Ukraine amounted to USD 2.4 billion, more than half of them were sent to the real economy.
