Vice PM Zubko: Revenues of local budgets expected at UAH 267 bln at year-end

"In 2014, before the reform was launched, the own revenues of local self-government totaled about UAH 70 billion... At the end of 2016, the revenues were UAH 147 billion; at the end of 2017 – UAH 193 billion; at the end of 2018 – UAH 234 billion, and at the end of 2019, we expect UAH 267 billion," Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko said on the air of Espreso TV channel, the press service of the Ministry reports.

He added that the local budgets had grown up to UAH 234 billion over five years of implementation of the decentralization reform.

As the minister noted, apart from the growth of local budgets and state support for infrastructure, rural medicine and education, the territorial communities receive financial support from Europe. In 2018, 70 regional projects with a total budget of more than UAH 600 million were launched at the expense of the European Union within the framework of the Sector Policy Support Programme - Support to Ukraine's Regional Policy.
