The World Bank forecasts that Ukraine's GDP will total 2.7% in 2019, 3.4% in 2020 and 3.7% in 2021.

The World Bank outlined this in its report on the economic growth in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region, which is available to Ukrinform.

“In 2019, growth is projected at 2.7 percent as investment remains constrained by difficult external conditions, election-related uncertainties, and the resulting high cost of external borrowing,” reads the report.

At the same time, the World Bank in its report noted that “going forward, if the reform momentum is sustained, growth can recover to 4 percent in the medium term after election related uncertainties abate”.

Also, the World Bank forecasts that inflation in Ukraine will total 6.8% in 2019, 6.0% in 2020, in 5.4% in 2021.

As Ukrinform reported, the National Bank of Ukraine in its inflation report forecast Ukraine’s GDP at the level of 2.5% in 2019, at 2.9% in 2020, and 3.7% in 2021.
