Flax-fiber processing plant to be built in Zhytomyr region

"Now we are looking for an investor, who is ready to build an oil mill in Zhytomyr region. After all, we have the needed raw material base as Zhytomyr region grows about 800,000 tonnes of oilseeds a year. It is enough to run one of the ten most powerful oil mills in Ukraine. This year, we plan to start the construction of a flax-fiber processing plant. We already have an investor to launch this project," Chairman of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Ihor Hundych announced, the Administration’s press service reports.

According to Doing.Business ranking, Zhytomyr region is among top 3 Ukrainian regions with the best business environment.

In particular, the region doubled the investment volume compared to 2017, having attracted $5.6 million last year.
