UIA increases passenger traffic in January-February 2019

In January-February 2019, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) carried over one million passengers, which is 9% higher compared with the corresponding period last year, the company’s press service reported.

“In the first two months of 2019, UIA carried more than one million passengers and increased traffic by 9% compared with the corresponding period in 2018,” the report says.

In particular, over the reporting period, UIA operated 8,930 flights, which corresponds to the figures of 2018. The load factor grew by 1% up to 74%.

“The punctuality rate of UIA flights in February 2019 reached 85% compared to 77% in February 2018,” the report says.

In addition, UIA mail and cargo traffic reached 2,800 tonnes, which is 2% higher compared to the corresponding period last year.

Ukraine International Airlines was founded in 1992. UIA is a 100% privately owned carrier. The airline connects Ukraine with over 50 capitals and key cities of Europe, Asia, America, Africa, the Middle East, and CIS countries and provides connections with its international partners’ flights to over 3,000 other destinations worldwide.
