Investors no longer doubt huge potential of Ukraine - Belgian businessman

Ukraine's honorary consul in the Belgian province of Limburg, the head and founder of the Ukraine Invest & Trade Office in Belgium, Kris Beckers, said this in an exclusive comment to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Foreign investors are no longer asking themselves: why Ukraine? A great number of investors and businessmen are beginning to understand the economic power of Ukraine. Ukraine has enormous potential in Europe and around the world. The state is strengthening its potential, economically integrating with the European Union," the Belgian businessman said.

Beckers recalled that bilateral trade between Ukraine and the EU is estimated to be worth EUR 40 billion and every year it has a trend of growth by about 27%.

"This means that Ukraine is capable of reorienting itself to western countries," he said.

Beckers noted that a positive factor in attracting foreign investment to the state is the presence of common borders with EU countries, as well as highly skilled specialists and productive labor force.
