Zubko: 90% of population of Dnipropetrovsk region lives in new management system

In Dnipropetrovsk region, 90% of the population lives in a new management system due to the decentralization reform.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko said during a speech at a meeting of the Regional Development Council of Dnipropetrovsk region with the participation of President Petro Poroshenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"A total of 90% of the population of Dnipropetrovsk region lives in a new system of management, which means cities of regional significance and united territorial communities. This is the largest indicator throughout Ukraine," Zubko said.

He added that Dnipropetrovsk region had managed to create 63 united territorial communities in the framework of decentralization.

As reported, in January 2019, 62% of the population of Ukraine lived in 876 united territorial communities.
